Clarizen, as makers of online project management software, knows a thing or two about how businesses coordinate their project tasks. As Avinoam Nowogrodski, CEO and cofounder of Clarizen, told me, “It’s well-known that every company is doing project management, but the majority of the companies are not really using the project management tools in a systematic way to manage their projects. At the end of the day, project management tools are not really working for companies because people feel that it’s a project by itself to implement the project management system.” In other words, team members don’t want the tools themselves to be another task that they’ve got to master.

Nowogrodski said, “For us, in project management, there is one formula: Team adoption equals project success.” To meet this challenge, Clarizen has developed its project management solution to be as easy to implement as possible. Available as on on-demand web service, Clarizen offers a host of features, including personalized dashboard views, multiple project support, resource allocation, and email notifications for project status changes. The service is available anytime over the web, providing consistent, real-time information about your projects and individual tasks.

To make things even simpler, Clarizen has just released a Microsoft Office Outlook add-on that lets team members update their tasks via their Outlook client—without logging on to the web system. With this new feature, creating and updating action items is as easy as sending an email. The Clarizen system ensures that all team members have accurate information about current project statuses. This system makes it easy for team members to use Clarizen without a lot of overhead to learn the project management solution. As Nowogrodski said, “If you have your team on board, then you’re going to be successful.”

Clarizen is available for a monthly fee. But you can visit Clarizen’s website to view an online demo and sign up for a free 30-day trial, making it easy to find out if this solution meet’s your organization’s needs.
